A Classic Plateau Ice Creamery Is Expanding to Mile End

It’s almost time to trade that frigid winter hellscape for a sweaty summer hellscape — which also means it’s ice cream season.

And this year, there’s big news for longtime Plateau staple Ripples: the 35-year-old ice creamery appears to be planning to open in Mile End.

Signage with Ripples’ logo on it has appeared in a storefront at the corner of St-Viateur and Jeanne-Mance streets. It will be located right behind coffee shop Myriade Mile-End, in a retail space that is connected to the café. It previously housed a Japanese kitsch shop, and before that, trendy clothing store Savoie Fils.
